The exhibition venues can be used as extracurricular places of learning and are thus particularly aimed at school classes and groups of children and young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the examination of the exhibition contents and thus the history of the region and its unique natural and landscape space, the focus is on questions and answers of the past, present and future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibitions offer opportunities for participation, allow people to learn and perceive with different senses and enable authentic experiences at ‘real’ places of contemporary history and in the middle of the biosphere reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition visit can be prepared and followed up in school lessons, and there are also programmes available for visits by school classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On self-discovering tours, the border sites can be experienced in small groups and with the help of playful, exploratory tasks; an introduction by guiding staff is offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to us to initiate the understanding of one’s own history, the experiences of other generations and cultural identities, and also to promote reflection on values and the future of society and the individual. In addition, in the middle of the biosphere reserve, the perception of the unique landscape of the region with its natural spaces worthy of protection and sustainable ways of life can be trained.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The “Agenda 2030 for sustainable development”<\/a> of the member states of the United Nations with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals forms the core of ESD and can be docked onto the exhibition contents of “Experience border towers – from border history to border nature”. In Lower Saxony’s Elbtalaue, for example, it is above all the historical borderline and the “long-term project” of the biosphere reserve that are illustrated and create references to the everyday life of the young generation as well. Above all, the areas of nature and the environment, climate protection, living conditions on water and on land as well as peace and justice can be experienced in the exhibitions in the local and regional perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Elbtalaue<\/a>, the information centres of the biosphere reserve<\/a> and other regional historical sites offer opportunities for a half-day or day programme for school classes and groups in Amt Neuhaus and Bleckede.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
